This is the personal blog of Tony Butterfield, founder and CTO of 1060 Research.

As architect of Resource Oriented Computing and it’s embodiment in NetKernel, Tony has relentless pursued a vision of creating robust malleable software that economically scales beyond today’s most ambitious efforts. He works to employ this vision with clients around the globe as well as closer to home with projects to make real the Internet of Things.

Prior to 1060 Tony has honed his skills at various organisations from the very largest, the likes of Lucent Technologies and IBM, to bedroom development of video games in the mid 1980s.

Tony holds a BSc in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick.
